Prohibited, no market

Betting and games of chance are criminal offences, and there are no casinos, no lottery and no licensing authority. Since January 2026 the offences sit in Articles 426 and 427 of the new Criminal Code, and the Electronic Information and Transactions Law covers online play. The Ministry of Communication and Digital blocks offshore sites and works with the financial regulator to close linked bank accounts.
