Online prohibited

Hotel casinos licensed by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities may admit only non-Egyptians, under Law 8 of 2022. The Civil Code voids betting contracts except for authorised lotteries, and no online licensing framework exists. Since 2026 the authorities have been blocking online betting apps.
