Mauritius

Licensing opening

The Gambling Regulatory Authority Act 2007 provided for interactive licences, but online casino was never opened, and remote betting was limited to one SMS bookmaker. The Finance Act 2026 created B2B and B2C interactive licences, covering online casino and sportsbooks, for companies incorporated in Mauritius. Land-based casinos and the national lottery operate under licence.
