Licensing opening

The Gambling Regulation Act 2024 moves licensing to the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland in phases. Remote betting licences have been issued since 1 July 2026 and in-person betting licences follow on 1 December 2026. Online casino and poker licences need a further commencement order, and the Act makes no provision for casino premises.
