The Gambling Control Act 2025, in force since August 2025, replaced the 1966 betting law and the Betting Control and Licensing Board with the Gambling Regulatory Authority. The Authority licenses betting, online casino, lotteries and casinos, and suppliers need their own licence. Its first licensing round opened after new regulations took effect on 1 July 2026.
