Ordinances 0010/PR/2025 and 0011/PR/2025 of 30 December 2025 created the Gabonaise des Jeux, which holds the state monopoly on lotteries, sports betting and instant games and replaced the Commission supérieure des jeux de hasard. All earlier licences lapsed on 7 July 2026, and the GDJ opened a call for private operators in February 2026. The regulated offer is reported to cover physical outlets only, and online licensing has not been established.
