The Loterie Nationale Burkinabè (LONAB) runs the lottery and sports betting, and launched its online betting platform Lonabet on 26 December 2023 after a trial from July 2023. Casinos and slot machine halls need prior authorisation under Law 027-2008/AN and a 2014 decree. No licensing regime for private online operators was found.
