Karl Grech on REEVO’s Approach to Content Differentiation in a Competitive iGaming Market

Karl Grech

Karl Grech, Head of Business Development at REEVO, brings more than two decades of experience across both the B2C and B2B sides of the iGaming industry. Having held leadership roles spanning sportsbook operations, risk management, account management, business development, and casino content distribution, Grech has witnessed the industry’s evolution firsthand. Today, he helps drive growth at REEVO, a B2B games provider and aggregation platform that combines proprietary casino content with a single-API aggregation solution designed to simplify integration and support operator differentiation.

In this CasinoRank interview, Grech discusses REEVO’s approach to combining proprietary game development with content aggregation, the growing importance of customization for operators, and the challenges of delivering scalable gaming experiences in an increasingly competitive iGaming landscape. He also shares insights into market trends, partnership strategies, and how suppliers can help operators stand out through tailored content offerings.

With REEVO expanding its aggregation ecosystem across multiple content verticals, how do you decide which supplier partnerships genuinely add operator value?

At REEVO, scale is already a given, we operate as both an aggregator and an online game provider, with 140+ integrated providers, 25,000+ third‑party games, and 100+ in‑house titles, while continuing to release two new REEVO games each month. That means our partnership strategy can’t be “add everything”; it has to be “add what moves the needle.”

In practice, we use a value-first filter built around three questions:

Does this content unlock a real product gap for operators?

We prioritise partners that strengthen specific verticals or gameplay needs, for example, expanding live with premium tables and formats, or adding proven instant/crash titles that drive repeat sessions.

Can the supplier convert and retain in multiple markets, not just look good in a catalogue?

We look for evidence of performance and operator impact: consistent engagement, clear player propositions, and a roadmap that supports long-term retention rather than one-off novelty.

Will the integration be operationally strong?

Reliability, certification readiness, commercial responsiveness, and support standards matter. We won’t scale a partnership if it risks creating post‑launch friction for operators.

The simplest way to describe it: we choose partners the same way operators choose content, based on measurable outcomes, not marketing noise.

REEVO positions its single API integration as a way to simplify the customer journey for operators. Where do you still see the biggest friction points, and how is REEVO working to remove them?

“Single API” is easy to say and hard to deliver because the friction rarely sits in one place, it sits across compliance, configuration, content management, and ongoing operations.

The most common friction points we see are:

Regulatory readiness and approvals

Different jurisdictions demand different game lists, reporting expectations, and compliance evidence. This is why REEVO pushes a certification-led approach, our platform has secured regulated milestones such as Brazil’s official aggregation certification and Peru’s official certification, which helps operators launch faster with market-ready tooling and compliant workflows.

Content normalisation

Operators need consistent game data (metadata, categories, localisation, responsible gaming info, etc.) across hundreds of suppliers. We standardise the way content is presented and managed so lobbies are easier to build and maintain at scale.

Operational reliability after go‑live

The “integration” isn’t finished on launch day, operators need fast support, incident response, and clean version control as suppliers update titles.

To reduce these frictions, REEVO focuses on three things:

  1. High-performance single integration with a structured onboarding path,
  2. Regulatory credibility, including our MGA B2B licence,
  3. Operator tooling that turns content access into commercial results (insights, promotions, and streamlined content management)

With REEVO offering both proprietary games and third-party aggregation, how do you manage the balance between promoting in-house content and remaining a neutral, performance-led platform for operators?

This is a key point and it’s exactly why our positioning as both aggregator and game provider is a strength when done correctly.

First, we’re very transparent about the model: REEVO delivers our original games alongside a broad multi-provider catalogue, all through one integration. But neutrality doesn’t mean “we pretend our games don’t exist.” It means we build the platform so the operator stays in control.

In practical terms, we balance it like this:

Operators decide what to feature. We support the operator’s lobby strategy whether they want to spotlight REEVO originals, prioritise local favourites, or run a mixed strategy based on performance and segmentation.

Curation is performance-led, not brand-led. REEVO games earn visibility through strong design, commercial mechanics, and ongoing optimization, not because the platform forces them.

Our in-house cadence supports operators, not competes with them. Releasing two new games each month gives partners fresh content for campaigns and reactivation, while the aggregation side ensures breadth for every player profile.

The outcome we aim for is simple: REEVO originals provide differentiation and “headline releases,” while aggregation provides depth and scale and the operator can activate both in the way that best fits their market.

Which customisation requests are becoming most important for operators looking to differentiate in crowded regulated markets?

Customisation has shifted from “nice to have” to “commercial necessity,” particularly as regulated markets demand more localisation and operators want stronger differentiation.

REEVO is well positioned here because our in-house slot and table games are produced by our game studios in Romania and are built with multiple levels of customisation in mind.

The requests we’re seeing most often fall into four buckets:

Market-level compliance and configuration – Bet limits, feature toggles, rule presentation, localisation, and responsible-gaming messaging. As we expand across regulated jurisdictions, including our certification-led entry into Italy and continued growth in Latin America, operators want to be confident the experience is aligned with local expectations.

Brand differentiation — Branded assets, UI/lobby presentation guidance, and custom campaigns that help an operator’s casino stand out in a crowded field.

Promotion-ready mechanics — Operators increasingly request content and configuration that works smoothly with free spins, tournaments, and tailored promotional layers.

Performance tuning within permitted boundaries — Operators want the right volatility mix, features that fit their audience, and the ability to shape content strategy using real performance insights.

The common thread: customisation isn’t about changing everything, it’s about giving operators enough flexibility to be compliant, local, and differentiated without slowing down speed to market.

Recent REEVO partnerships suggest a broader move beyond traditional slot aggregation. Which product categories are proving most effective for player retention, and where do you see overhype in the market?

Retention is driven by habit and variety. Over the last 12–18 months, we’ve seen the strongest retention impact when operators can combine:

Live gaming that feels premium and interactive

Live remains a loyalty driver when it’s delivered with high quality, strong UX, and a “real casino” feel. Partnerships that expand roulette/blackjack/baccarat depth and presentation matter because live sessions often create longer play time and repeat visitation.

Instant/crash that supports repeat sessions

Fast formats keep players coming back because they’re easy to understand, quick to play, and campaign-friendly. This is exactly why we’ve been expanding in instant/crash categories, they complement slots and live rather than replacing them.

The activation layer

Even the best categories won’t retain if operators can’t activate them. Tools like free spins, tournaments and custom promotions turn content breadth into measurable retention.

Where is the overhype? In my view, it’s any category sold as a “silver bullet.” If a “new vertical” doesn’t come with strong mechanics, reliable delivery, localisation, and campaign usability, it becomes catalogue clutter. The winners are the categories that integrate smoothly into real operator operations and can be promoted, measured, and repeated.

What operational or technical benchmarks now separate a serious aggregation partner from a basic content marketplace?

Operators can usually tell within weeks whether an aggregator is truly enterprise-grade. The benchmarks that separate serious partners are:

Regulatory credibility and repeatable compliance processes

This includes jurisdiction readiness and the ability to reduce launch risk. REEVO’s regulated momentum, including our MGA B2B licence, plus certifications supporting growth in Italy and Latin America (notably Brazil and Peru), is central to how we build trust and speed up partner due diligence.

Scale with stability

Catalogue size is meaningless without performance. Our proposition combines breadth (140+ providers / 25,000+ third‑party games) with operational focus and a continued pipeline of original releases.

Operator-facing tooling, not just content access

Insights, content management, and promotion capability are what turn aggregation into growth, not just a long list of games.

Partnership quality and responsiveness

A serious aggregator invests in onboarding, support, and long-term optimization, because the real test is what happens after go‑live.

As more suppliers compete for visibility inside operators’ lobbies, how can REEVO help smaller or newer studios achieve distribution without compromising the quality standards operators expect from a curated platform?

A strong aggregation platform can be the bridge between innovation and scalable distribution, but only if it protects operators from inconsistency.

Our approach is to make distribution accessible while keeping standards high:

Structured onboarding and quality gates

We validate technical delivery, content documentation, and readiness for real operator environments. We also evaluate whether the studio’s content genuinely adds something new for operators, not just “another slot.”

Launch strategy designed for measurable outcomes

When we onboard emerging studios, the goal is to help them succeed commercially, with the right positioning, localisation expectations, and performance feedback loops.

A good example of how we think about this is partnering with studios that bring originality and clear operator value, while aligning with our performance-led aggregation strategy.

In short: we want smaller studios to win, but in a way that strengthens operator trust. That means curating for quality, integrating for reliability, and supporting launches so “new” becomes “repeatable,” not “risky.”
