Cryptobanco: Compliance, Banking Resilience, and Crypto iGaming’s Future

Cryptobanco

Cryptobanco is a crypto payment infrastructure provider serving online businesses, with iGaming among its key sectors. The platform combines treasury management, global payouts, crypto on/off-ramps, and AML and KYC compliance, supporting both crypto-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat transactions around the clock. Designed for businesses operating globally, CryptoBanco focuses on helping companies manage digital asset payments securely, efficiently, and with greater operational control.

In this CasinoRank interview, the CryptoBanco team discusses why payment providers are increasingly evaluated as risk-management partners rather than processing tools, why payout speed has become a key driver of player trust and retention, and why fully anonymous crypto gambling is becoming commercially unsustainable for licensed operators. The team also explores the shift from crypto volatility to banking resilience as a treasury priority, along with the most common mistakes new iGaming operators make when building their crypto payment infrastructure.

As iGaming operators face growing compliance pressure, are payment providers now being evaluated more as risk-management partners than simple processing tools?

Cryptobanco Team: In the crypto industry, risk management was always an essential part of the workflow that we cannot overlook. As iGaming companies face increasing pressure from regulators, they want stability and accountability in their financial operations.

“Providers are now judged by their ability to reduce operational, compliance, and treasury risk, not only by uptime or transaction success rate.”, said Dmytro Avtionov, Cryptobanco’s Product Manager at Fintech Products.

Answering the question, essentially, yes, clients now expect not only the smooth transactions and successful outcomes, but also advanced functionality from crypto payment platforms they use.

It is only natural that preference will lie in the infrastructure that can both safely deliver the money to their destination, and provide a clear audit for further analysing and evaluating the risks.

From what you’re seeing across the industry, has payout speed officially become one of the biggest retention drivers in crypto-focused iGaming?

Cryptobanco Team: Definitely! First and foremost, transaction speed, alongside cross-border capabilities and enhanced security, was one of the key factors that encouraged users to move from traditional payment methods to crypto. People wanted to be independent from traditional banking timelines and delays, so they picked the method that can be available 24/7.

“In crypto iGaming, payout speed is not just a payment feature — it is a retention driver and a trust signal.” – states Avtionov.

This expectation has naturally extended to crypto service providers, where clients seek the most efficient one.

CryptoBanco supports both crypto-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat settlement flows. Are operators increasingly looking for flexible treasury management because of market volatility, or is the bigger concern now around banking relationships and liquidity access?

Cryptobanco Team: Well, both apply to some extent. The clear distinction lies in the fact that market volatility was an initial challenge that created the need for flexible treasury infrastructures. However, what really drives the demand these days are the matters of banking resilience and access to liquidity.

While old worries are still valid, flexible treasury management is increasingly being treated as an enabler of required resilience, and banking relationships themselves are becoming strategic infrastructure.

As crypto is initially a volatile environment, the biggest concern is not whether BTC moves 10% in a day, but threats of changed jurisdiction policy, disrupted settlement access during stress events, temporary liquidity shortages in stablecoin markets and sudden de-risking from banking providers. Avtionov concludes it by saying:

“The biggest treasury challenge is no longer only crypto volatility. It is resilience: having access to liquidity, reliable settlement, and banking infrastructure when market conditions change.”

That is why clients want a partner that can be reliable and provide resilience in all the above threats and keep their money safe.

CryptoBanco positions itself around fast onboarding and customizable infrastructure for online businesses. When new iGaming operators launch today, what are the most common mistakes they still make when building their crypto payment stack?

Cryptobanco Team: That is a great question, and exactly what we have discussed several times in our own articles and blog. The biggest mistake is working with unreliable providers.

Trust is essential in the crypto industry, however must be given only upon careful inspection. The next problem here is not building a clear system, but managing several layers of infrastructure haphazardly.

Lack of clear ownership, automated workflow and role-based access control often leads to lost payments, constant mess and difficulties during audits.

The latter is often overlooked and discarded as something needed for traditional finance, but it remains just as vital in crypto infrastructure if the company wants to analyze their financial operations and calculate risks.

As regulators continue tightening AML expectations around digital assets, do you believe the industry is moving toward a future where fully anonymous crypto gambling becomes commercially unsustainable for licensed operators?

Cryptobanco Team: It is safe to say that with the growing institutionalisation and mainstream adoption of crypto, yes, it does become unsustainable. With more recognition comes responsibility of being a compliant, reliable partner, which can only be achieved through adherence to emerging rules and regulations.

“For licensed iGaming operators, the future is not fully anonymous crypto gambling. The future is compliant crypto infrastructure that still delivers speed, flexibility, and a strong user experience.”

It is important to understand that most large operators now see compliance not as a blocker to crypto adoption, but as the cost of accessing stable banking, liquidity, and mainstream growth.

While it cuts out one possibility, it uncovers many others: legitimacy, scalability, banking access, and long-term market access.

Cryptobanco wants to endorse these values, hence always remains on-track with new regulations and keeps clients informed of the changes.

Looking ahead, what should iGaming operators and partners expect next from CryptoBanco in terms of product development, geographic expansion, or new payment capabilities as crypto infrastructure becomes increasingly mainstream across gaming?

Cryptobanco Team: We are constantly improving our product offering to cover emerging client needs. One of our key priorities is expanding automation that we are working on, to make Cryptobanco even more efficient than it was before. For example, introducing IBAN accounts.

We are also developing a white-label version of the platform. Upon new features’ arrival, we publish the announcements on our social media pages.

“Cryptobanco’s focus is to make crypto payment infrastructure more automated, more transparent, and easier for operators to scale.”

Final Thoughts

As licensed iGaming operators continue adapting to a more regulated crypto landscape, the conversation is shifting from payment speed alone to broader questions of resilience, treasury strategy, and compliance. CryptoBanco’s insights illustrate how these priorities are influencing both payment infrastructure and the expectations operators now place on their technology partners.

CasinoRank thanks the CryptoBanco team for sharing their time and perspectives, and we look forward to following the company’s continued development.
